Anything can happen
When I get all slumping and overwhelmed and tired and disconnected, I try to remember that nothing is set in stone.⠀I don’t know where things are going or what is going to happen.⠀Anything can happen in any moment.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
And, if I have my wits about me, I start to mentally tick off some amazing things that could happen right now in any moment without me doing a thing. The universe is a funny place. It can often jump in and surprise me in amazing ways.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
What might happen? What silly or buoyant or expansive or wild or connective thing might be just around the corner?
- It could start raining and wash away the heat
- I could run in to a delightful friend
- A mysterious package could arrive at my door
- A French bakery could open up down the street
- The wind could blow away that dead tree
- An amazing couple could move in next door
- Someone could ask me to house sit their beach house
- I could win a tandem bike
- My hair could accidentally look wonderful⠀⠀
And just like that, my brain starts to consider all the wonders in this big, wide world. And feel open to new possibilities.
